The two people you will deal with

There is no office to be passed around. The people who walk your woods are the people who make the offer and the people who do the work.

I'm Joe Raber, owner of Buckeye Forestry LLC, proudly serving landowners throughout Ohio and northern West Virginia. With a genuine appreciation for the outdoors and a strong respect for the land, I'm committed to providing dependable and professional forestry services to every landowner I work with.

Buckeye Forestry specializes in purchasing standing timber and land. I understand that every landowner and property is different, with individual goals and priorities. I take the time to understand those goals and work to accommodate each landowner's needs.

Honesty and integrity are the foundation of how I do business. I believe in being upfront, communicating clearly, and treating every landowner and property with respect. I also enjoy meeting new people and building relationships throughout the communities we serve.

Our goal is to get the most out of our renewable natural resources while respecting the land and the people who own it. I take pride in approaching every project responsibly and professionally.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hunting, and fishing. My love for the outdoors is what led me to this business, and I put that passion into the work I do every day.

I'm Autty Hamilton, timber buyer & forester with Buckeye Forestry LLC, based in Belpre, Ohio. I live in the country with my wife. I buy timber and land and work throughout Ohio and northern West Virginia.

I'm a hardworking, down-to-earth country guy who loves the outdoors and being out on the land. Most of my days are spent in the woods, evaluating timber, looking at properties, and working with landowners. I take pride in what I do and enjoy the simple country lifestyle, hard work, and everything the outdoors has to offer.

When I'm not working, I love to hunt, get out on my ATV for a drive, and enjoy the freedom of being outdoors. I also enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories, and making new friends along the way.

I believe in treating people right, being honest in everything you do, and staying true to who you are. Life is about good people, good conversations, hard work, and enjoying the journey.

How we think about your woods

Responsible timber management is an investment in your property and its future. The goal is not simply to generate income once — it is to generate income while improving the health of the woods, encouraging what comes next, and protecting the long-term value of the land.

Every property is different and every landowner wants something different. Some people want income. Some want the woods opened up and healthier. Some are planning decades ahead for children who are not old enough to care yet. We take the time to understand which of those you are before we recommend anything.

Why the Master Logger certification matters

Anybody can buy a saw and a truck and call themselves a logger. The Ohio Forestry Association's Master Logger designation means committing to their Best Management Practices and to established chainsaw safety standards, and being accountable to them.

It is a higher standard of professionalism, and for a landowner it is one of the few objective signals available when you are trying to work out who to trust with the most valuable thing growing on your property.

We honor what we put in our contracts, and we honor what we tell our customers. Joe Raber, owner

What we mean by our word

We believe a handshake and a contract still mean something. We honor what we put in our contracts, and we honor what we tell our customers.

You should know exactly what you are agreeing to before the work begins. We communicate clearly, put our agreements in writing, and follow through. What we put on paper is what we stand by, and what we tell you is what we intend to deliver.

When you choose us to harvest your timber, you are not just hiring a logging company. You are choosing a company that believes in treating people the right way.

Find out what your woods are worth

We will walk your property, tally what is there and tell you straight what it is worth — at no cost, and with no obligation to sell.

Joe or Autty answers the phone. Or send your details and we will call you.

Your land. Your timber. Our word.
